The Truth about the $10 and $15 Wash and Set  Beauty Salons!

A popular style for Ethnic women  is the wrap set or doobie. This particular style was made popular by Dominican Hairstylists and in theory promotes healthy hair because it requires you to keep your hair well conditioned and trimmed on a regular basis. The best part of a wrap set is that you have the option of keeping your hair wrapped until you are ready to comb it out.

We can not speak for every $10 and $15 wash and set salon,  nor are we trying to bash any licensed salons who are doing the right thing by their clients.  There is an unspoken truth among licensed salon owners in regard to the products many $10 and $15 wash and set  style salons use.   

Many of these so called $10 and $15 wash and set salons have been known to use cheap low-end products and place them in well known,  high-end hair care product containers with the intent to fool their clients.

This is why after several visits to these type of salons,  people start to notice their hair is thinning,  breaking and excessively dry from the combination of cheap  inferior hair products and blow dryer heat.

In closing,  always ask your stylist what he or she is putting in your hair,  also ask why  they are using these products in your hair.  Your stylist should not have a problem explaining and should also want to inform you of the benefits of using such products.
